 TEAM CHECK-IN
A representative of each team must attend Team Check-in on Friday evening, May 23rd at the Greenspoint Marriott between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. The following items will be verified at that time:

PLAYER ID CARDS – please bring all player ID cards.  The cards must be laminated and include a recent photo of player; all cards will be verified against the team roster.

TEAM ROSTER - an Official roster will be provided to the Site Coordinator by the State Office.  While it is advisable for all teams to have a roster in their possession, the state roster will be used for verification purposes.

CODE OF CONDUCT – print the form from the STYSA website at http://www.stxsoccer.org/ – click on State Competitions / USYSNC State Cup / Code of Conduct form, read it carefully, sign and turn it in at Check-in.

PENALTY POINT REPORT – The Penalty Point Report will be produced by the State and provided to the Site Coordinator.  An extra copy will be available for any team wishing to have one.

SPECIAL NOTE:  Many of you have expressed concern about seeing fall points included in your team's disciplinary record.  Please remember that you are looking at the information from your team account whic covers the entire seasonal year.  The report will be produced from teh USYSNC Eastern District Tournament which opened on April 12th.  Only points accumulated April 12th or later will be included on the report.

BENCH PASSES – By now you should have sent your Bench Pass Request form to the State Office.  Instructions were to request Bench Passes for only those adults who met the criteria – persons holding a valid Kidsafe Pass and a coaching license.  Passes have been prepared for only those individuals who could be verified as having met both of these requirements.  After checking in the team, individuals will be able to pick up their own Bench Pass after providing a form of identification – Kidsafe Pass or drivers’ license.  Those individuals for whom a Bench Pass was requested but do not attend check-in will be able to pick their Bench Pass up at the Tournament Headquarters on Saturday morning.

ROSTER UPDATE - Jersey numbers should already be entered in the Affinity system for the players on your roster.  If not, please enter this information immediately.  Game cards will be printed on Thursday afternoon and jersey numbers are required.  In addition, this information is vital in producing the Regional Roster that teams advancing to the Southern Regionals will sign at the conclusion of the tournament.

TEAM OFFICIALS - The Regional roster will be prepared for each U14 and older team prior to the State Cup.  Unless otherwise notified, the persons listed on the current roster will be designated as the Head Coach, Manager, Trainer and Assistant Coach on the Regional Roster.  Once printed and signed by your players, there will be no changes allowed to the roster as Region III does not allow corrections once the roster is produced.

AWARDS CEREMONY
An awards ceremony will be held immediately following the last game in each age group.  Medals will be presented to all teams and photos will be taken.  Please bring your team to the designated area as soon as possible after the conclusion of your final game.   Players should remain in their uniforms for a team photo.

REGIONAL PREPARATIONS

In the Under-14 through Under-19 age groups, the State Champion will qualify for advancement to the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series Southern Regionals that will be held June 19th-25th in Raleigh/Wilson, North Carolina.  Immediately after the awards ceremony and photos, your team will meet with a member of the state staff to begin the paperwork process.  Please keep all of your players on site as they will need to sign several copies of the official roster.  Since there will be a lot of information to pass along to your team, we ask that you please identify one person who will be responsible for serving as the communication link between your team and the state association.  This person will need to be on hand to meet with the State Representative prior to the roster signing and to receive an information packet and special instructions on the continuing process.

FOR INFORMATION

If you have any questions, please contact either the Tournament Coordinator Arthur Yonge (281) 484-4710 or the State Office representative, Linda Miller (512) 272-4553 or lindam@stxsoccer.org . Team names will be included on the schedule as soon as possible so please don't call to ask for team names.
